About the Taggora scanning bot
If you found this page from a User-Agent string in your server logs, you're looking at the identity of the bot Taggora uses to run accessibility scans:
TaggoraBot/1.0 (+https://taggora.com/bot; accessibility screening, contact bot@taggora.com)It only ever visits your site because someone asked it to — a visitor or site owner submitting your domain for a free accessibility scan at taggora.com/scan, or a monthly automatic re-scan for a site with an active monitoring subscription. It's never a mass, unsolicited crawl.
Each visit: respects your robots.txt, waits at least 750ms between page requests (longer if your robots.txt sets a longer Crawl-delay), stops after 30 pages, and never touches anything behind a login — only the same public pages any visitor could reach.
If a scan came back saying it was blocked
Taggora respects your site's crawling policy — if robots.txt disallows unlisted bots (a common default for sites that only explicitly allow search engines), the scan can't see any pages at all. To allow it, add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: TaggoraBot
Allow: /If the scan was blocked for another reason — a firewall or bot-protection service rejecting the request outright rather than robots.txt — that usually needs an allowlist entry for our server's address on whatever service you use (Cloudflare, Sucuri, etc.). Email us and we can give you the exact address to allow.
